No kids smartwatch...no problem...Went with .....
I have a 7 and 9 year old and went w/the Doki watch!!

Unreal features and just perfectly working...very impressed. This watch is 3G unlocked and will take ATT nano SIM here in USA. I bought the SIM via redpocket since it uses ATT network (MVNO) and works great!!

The problem is it has one of the 2 3g bands. If your area has towers for the band on the watch, great. As you travel around with the watch you may discover it will not work in places covered by AT&Ts other 3g band.
3G sunset in 2 years.

Does anyone happen to know if this would work in the DFW metroplex of Texas I would much rather preferred to have a watch with a $10 monthly bill and limited access to Internet then to actually have the smart phone this would be a great solution to our preteen Childs need

Have no idea what the DFW metro plex is. As I wrote, the watch has limited to one of the 2 required 3g bands which may mean it will work, all, some or not work at all. Without knowing what 3g connections are there is no way to tell you.
FYI, 3g will be sunset in the next couple of years, which means all 3g devices will cease to function.
Btw, ATT still sells fully functional flip phones for $20 - $200.

2yrs is a great time/length for our kids to have these watches, then perfect time to upgrade to smartphone.

The watches are junk. The battery life is horrible. LG has better kids watches you can just get a kids watch from them.

great watch, with great features that we use daily. let me know if LG has something better than doki feature and price wise.
Doki - $135 + all the features + $10 monthly via redpocket sim card. **also, i'm ok with charging a watch every 2days...they are not superusers ...we just text, voice call, and video chat.
