Brand new Galaxy watch 3 wont generate a sync number

I keep following the directions to number sync my Note 20 ultra and galaxy watch 3. When i get tot he point to enter a sync number from the watch it never loads. This is really a bad experience and I'm hoping someone can respond and help me resolve this problem.

Do you guys see a phone number for your watch online?  Because I just get mobile network not available.

Same issue, advanced tech support says there is an outage of Numbersync and that it won't be resolved for a month.

@Dajackal9999 thanks so much for posting the steps Note 10+ purchased from Best Buy working now after a year of fighting with AT&T multiple times and trying multiple firmwares followed the steps and it took

So, waking up an old thread....we had similar issues with ours, turns out we had to create a new ATT I.D. for the line that the watch is on that is separate from the phone. Like, different login ID that lists just the watch data line. Then it would work. The watch searches for a different ID than the phone to connect between. If it's on the same ID it won't "find itself". Hope this helps.

Well. I just got my Galaxy Watch 3, LTE, today.  It's to replace my old Galaxy Watch LTE that was numbersync'd to my phone Galaxy S9+. So....

0. Reset my old Galaxy Watch, deleted from Galaxy Wearable on S9+

1. New SGW3 .from..."Let's Go" to install on S9+ Galaxy Wearable App.

2. Open up Galaxy Wearable, add, let's pair, etc. done.

3. Congrats on your New GW3..agree with T&C, Skip restore backup for now, then....

4. on Galaxy Wearable...."Set up a mobile plan"...use code QR and/or Activation.  ((Edited per community guidelines))  where is this... (so skipped)

5. On SGW3....Menu>Connections only has these selections: BT, Mobile Networks, WiFi, NFC, Disconnection Alerts, and Airplane mode.  NO ATT Number Sync as an option.

When I called ATT a few hours ago, they couldn't even give me an activation code.  they said I have to go into a store.  really?  in this day and age of satellite communications, data streaming, and SIP/WFH? what if I lived in some remote place.  so no number sync option on watch, and no activation code.  Great.

Lastly, tried the option above, turn off BT to get that numbersync to "show up" but no go screen only shows

If there was further clarity on the some of the options recommended from other people like the one that said, "skip the big sync button and get the code on watch" what does that mean? and where? or clarity on the other one that said "set up a new ID"

Frustrated in how much we pay for service.....

I am having the same issue, and no one at ATT seems to be able to help. Tired of paying for a service that doesn't work!

Same issue here. I have the Note 20 ultra and watch 3... it would work just fine til I replaced my phone bc the screen broke a couple months ago. And I keep getting "you've turned on...", then immediately "you've turned off...". Frankly that's the only reason I stay with At&t. I can't hear my phone at work and I rely on my watch to alert me. It's sooo frustrating!

FWIW, I just went through this.  It'd been working for a long time, then started the dreaded "You've disabled..."/"You've enabled" cycle.  I had to

  1. On the watch, NumberSync -> Deactivate
  2. On the watch, NumberSync -> Get Started to bring up the sync code page on the phone
  3. On the phone, disable BT and WiFi so the watch is only on cellular.  If there is any connection to the phone it will not be able to get a sync code, I assume because to the service it would look like the phone was requesting a code (because of pass-thru connection?) instead of the watch.
  4.  On the watch, do NumberSync -> Get sync code.
  5. Sync code should appear within a few seconds.  If not, you may need to restart the watch - I've found the watch networking a bit ... sticky .... and a restart completely flushes everything
  6. On the phone, enter new sync code.  You should get the happy "Welcome to NumberSync" text message.  A short while later the Sync code screen on the watch should switch to Done.

I was just able to generate a sync code through the wearables app on android 12.

Let's see how long it lasts...
