Brand new Galaxy watch 3 wont generate a sync number

I keep following the directions to number sync my Note 20 ultra and galaxy watch 3. When i get tot he point to enter a sync number from the watch it never loads. This is really a bad experience and I'm hoping someone can respond and help me resolve this problem.

Hi @cmccuehwt

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're sorry about the issues you're having with NumberSync but we'll be happy to assist you.

Is the software up to date on both devices? Are you seeing any kind of error message on either device? Have you recently upgraded your phone or moved the SIM from one device to another? Have you tried troubleshooting? With more details, we'll have a better idea of how to proceed.

I am experiencing the same issue. Samsung Note 20 Ultra with Samsung Watch 3, both devices bought directly from ATT.

Based on what I was able to gather from ATT, looks like is known issue, no solution so far.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE - IN MY CASE, SPENT 1700$ IN DEVICES TO FIND OUT THAT ATT KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR.

I have the exact same issue as pfnonolla. I was told by "advanced" tech support that this is supposed to be resolved in the middle of September. If not I wonder what they will do as far as plans. I can't help but feel that since my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5g was purchased from (Edited per community guidelines)t Buy that I just got the "okee doke" so that I cannot return the device within the allowable time. But what I WILL do is look for any class actions against AT&T and Samsung regarding this if the solution does not appear as promised. I expect to get what I paid for and was promised. I notice the option to numbersync from my account is not even there anymore. Anyone else notice this ? I did get the well known "a supervisor will call you back in 2 hours" this past Saturday. And like everyone else there was no callback. At least be honest with your customers. It is better to know that a desired feature doesn't work than to experience constant (Edited per community guidelines). That leads to not only unhappy customers but to p*ssed of customers !!!

While looking into this further(after weeks) I just saw a post that SOLVED the issue and now working perfectly: Please do the below to the letter. It is the only time I got a code and AT&T needs to have their call-in customers FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS.

I finally got my Samsung Active Watch 2 to NumberSync with my Samsung Galaxy S20

1. Turn Bluetooth off on your phone

2. Wait for your watch to get a cell signal. You can pull down the top on the watch and the cell signal level will show up after you turn off Bluetooth

3. On the watch go to Settings>Connections>AT&T NumberSync>Get Sync Code

4. After a while it should give you a code that's good for 15 minutes

5. On your phone go to http://m.att.com/myatt/#/passthrough/manageNumberSync

6. Log in and add your watch and it'll ask for the code

The part of the process that does not work in the Samsung Watch 3 is to get a sync code. This is a well know issue, they are trying to solve it but no luck by now.

That's exactly what I have. Samsung Watch 3 with the Note 20 Ultra 5G. The trick is not to turn off bluetooth on the watch but the phone itself. Then I actually got the code. I selected Get code...not the main button you get. You scroll down and see Get Code. Important to that is waiting until the watch actually acquires an LTE signal. That takes about 20 seconds after pulling down on the watchface...maybe longer.

interesting.... I am doing exactly the same thing, no luck - will try again !!! I am waiting until the watch acquires the LTE signal as you mentioned above.

Thanks - will see if I can make it work - ATT advanced support told me that it is well known issue, they are working on it, no idea how reliable their info is.

Keep getting "NumberSync is currently unavaible" - LTE signal strong, no BT in the phone, no WIFI in the watch..... connected via ATT.

If you know any other trick, send it my way please !

Make sur re you don't hit big button for numbersync.  Scroll down and you will see just get code on watch. And you just get the code almost instantly.

Not finding what you're looking for?
