Uverse TV listings - new TV listings favorites?
Last week the Uverse TV listings page changed from the Uverse/Yahoo TV listings page to the Uverse.com TV listings page when signing in for the Web Remote Access:
Now there is no way to set up a favorites list on the TV listings page.
The only thing I can find on this new page is My Favorites in the drop-down off my Sign In which says to click on the *star* icon to add items to your favorites list (as on the Uverse/Yahoo page) but there are no *star* icons anywhere in the listings.
I did a search and browsed the Community forum and can not find anything about how to set up Favorites on the uverse.com TV listings page.
This is a pretty major feature for any TV listings web page, and is available on the set-top-box.
Did they really roll this new listings page out without this feature or am I totally missing it?
Tnx!

Yes, I agree! The new Web Remote Access Page is garbage! It won't even bring up my TV listings. It just sits there and spins and uses up all my memory! the old page was MUCH better!!!

Although it probably won't help, as AT&T doesn't listen, I would recommend that you send a private message to the escalation team at AT&T Customer Care, and someone will get in touch with you. At that point tell the manager that you are assigned to about the issue with favorites. Again it may be a shot in the dark but the more that "pile on," may be for the better.

Yes I see where I can add TV series and movied to my favorites using that tile view page.
And I often browse the page to check out what is available to see if there is something I'd
like to record for viewing (work 3rd shift).
I'm looking for a way to create a channel favorites list.
This option was available on the Yahoo/Uverse listing,
and is available on my DVR.
Not that interested in all the shopping channels,
or 5 channels of CSPAN and ESPN and other junk.
It's a pain to scroll through 800+ channels in the listing so see what's on.
Thank you for trying to help.

I did and the following was the reply I received.

I am sorry that the recent changes to the Web Remote do not suit your needs. We are always working to improve our services. Thank you for the feedback.
Thanks

Sounds like, "that's too bad that you don't like it, live with it" to me.

I'm getting the same "No channels match your filter"
Tried resetting my zip code--I'm in the metro Atlanta area--and I'm also told that the service is not available in my zip code. So what I have I been paying for all these years?
First they removed a growing list of vital features on the online channel guide & now they make it non-functional completely.
Here's what was removed from the site:
- Ability to have channel favorites so you don't have to scroll through every channel (I have no interest in children's programming, sports or religion)
- Cast information on movies is gone
- One-click button to record a show from the guide is gone. (It now takes a total of 5-6 clicks to record a show & get back to the guide)
- The option to jump to Primetime, while not removed, is hidden
I'd love to hear from AT&T's web designers why they think any of these changes benefit the user.

There has been a couple of different threads on this issue.
AT&T as I suspected has updated their Android app as well. I figured this was going to happen and unchecked the auto update box in the Play Store. I accidently updated my app last night and it "appeared" to have the same new look as the PC version although I did use it so don't know if its operation is just as bad.
I use Titainum Backup on my tablet and just reverted back to the previous version and all is well again. It's actually better than lame PC version but you can't see as many time slots so it takes some page flipping to use which makes it easy to miss something.

I just fired off a polite message to Customer "care". When I logged in, I also got the invite to respond to their site survey. While that survey is a pain, it may be another avenue to indicate the poor quality of the web service.

Yeah,
The "yahoo" version is long gone and I am probably not too far behind them.
I have been trying to set up the NFL Pre-season to record the games I want and bypass the others. However, the process is slow and clunky using the DVR box. The Uverse Guide was great, but now has no value as all of the games look the same: no cast options.
If there is an option, which there is where I live, it may be time to look elsewhere. Yuck! (I think I can say yuck on the forum.)

Besides the loss of favorites, they have taken away the cast option, significantly reducing the value of sticking with AT&T. You'd think with the increased competition from Netflix and others they would be increasing the service as opposed to going the other way.

I'm bumping up this thread because now the designers of the TV listings web site have now taken away yet another handy feature.
A day or so ago I visited the site and got a screen stating the site was down for maintainance. I hoped that they would have rethought taking away so many features, but no...
Now the arrow in the upper right which lets you skip ahead in time scrolls away out of sight as you burrow down through the channels. So if you are deep into the channel listing & want to skip ahead to the middle of the night, for example, you first have to go back to the top to access the arrow button.
Once again, who thought this was an improvement? It can't be anybody who actually uses the site.
