Stream online uverse content to non-smart tv...best adapter
Hello,
I am looking to stream my online uverse content/programs to a television that does not have a 'cable' connection or uverse box and is not a smart tv. Is there a certain wifi adapter that I can purchase to plug into tv that will work with uverse? I bought the google one @ Costco and it is not supported by uverse. Only hulu, google, netflix etc. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

You have a TV & you have network access (i.e. uverse internet). You need the middle link - the box to process the data. You are finding many small ones & their limitations.
The most robust and generic is a computer with a browser. The one you are using to access the forum.
The simplest connection from the computer to the TV is an HDMI cable. That is how mine is connected to the top TV in my image.
Other methods are available here - https://sewelldirect.com/articles/PCtoTV.aspx

After your computer is connected to the TV you can display anything you do now & watch u-verse offerings on uverse.com and the gazillion other sites - subject to subscription for some.
Provided the computer & internet speed are adequate. I believe 6 mb internet is adequate. The computer may be too slow or too old to load latest streaming software.
You can also set up a slingbox(or other similar device) to operate a u-verse box via IR blaster. The computer/browser connected to your TV or any other computer connected to the web can watch u-verse via the web & slingbox as if they were in the same room.
