Why some of our uverse channels not showing up? It's just a black screen with no explanation.

Unplug the receiver for 30 seconds. Plug it back in.
If it's the DVR, be careful you're not recording or set to record for five minutes after you plug back in.
Also make sure all connections are plugged in tight.
