Blue ray disc player connection
Hi, we have verse and we want to install the Samsung blue ray disc player , model BD- p1400. XAA and we have a Samsung 52 in. tv model LN52A650A1FXZA. We try connecting the cables from the blue ray directly to tv but nothing happened. There was no image or sound from the movie we inserted on the blue ray. The tv continued working. So, how do we connect the blue ray disc to tv and what channel do we need to have the tv to watch the movies? We appreciate your assistance..

Possibly - probably.
The u-verse remote support is to cover watching u-verse. Other devices may or may not be fully supported.
To discover if you can use the u-verse remote to change inputs on the TV -
Press the TV button on the u-verse remote.
Press every button to discover whar it does.
Start with tv/video, then Menu.
I just remembered that my Samsung TV also has source/input at the top of the Menu.
If you can find a button to work you are all set. If not, you can try all the other possible IR codes for Samsung TVs.
What aboutthe blue-ray? Do you expect to control that with the u-verse remote? If not maybe that can control the TV & change inputs.
When you have multi[ple devices, you have to expect to use the device remote for some function. If you want a remote that does everything, it is a Logitech Harmony.

The source buuton is on the Samsung TV remote between the chan & vol up./down, under mute. use that button to change the input fron the U_verse input to the blue-ray input.
