HBO Max no longer in 4K
I am not getting Max content in 4K and only have access to the middle tier 1080P streaming.

Hello, @HasselHoth. This is not the experience we want you to have.
Unless you've made recent changes to your AT&T account, you should still be receiving Max content in 4K.
Let's move to a Direct Message so that we can verify your account information and take a closer look at this.
Please check your Direct Message Inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Forums). We'll be awaiting your response.

I stopped receiving 4K content this week with Max. I watched Justice League in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos this weekend but now it changed to only HD. @ATTHelp , I would appreciate any insight as to why I no longer receive either. Thank you.

@Seanyb24 - It's going to be the same song and dance. There is no 4K. There is no HDR. We have been downgraded with no ability to upgrade outside of just subscribing directly. This is looking more and more like a planned migration to get people off this grandfathered perk and generate new subscribers for Max. They will tell you 4K is for limited movies, but won't tell you which movies. It wasn't limited a month ago, now it is.

This is not surprising now that WBD has taken control of Max and AT&T wants to get rid of it. Standalone subscribers still get 4k HDR with the Ad-free tier but that will probably only last until about November (6 month grace period) when we will have to upgrade to the Unlimited Tier or whatever Max is calling their 4k HDR/Atmos Ad-free plan. No one knows what AT&T plans to do after the grace period is over but my guess is that you will have to re-subscribe to Max for the service level you want.
