Read the manual and talked with Toshiba Firetv support. The box is connected but is not working properly.

Make sure you are tuning the TV to the correct input that you connected the receiver.
In other words, if you connected the receiver via the HDMI1 input, use the TV remote, find the INPUT (Source) button and choose HDMI1.
You might try rebooting the receiver.
