Setting up Wireless uVerse cable box getting a Red X with the number 3. 

Your website says it's not a problem with the wireless cable box

and that the problem will have to be resolved on your end.

So please help

Posting here is not the fastest way to get to AT&T Customer service.  Your post may be seen by ATThelp and they may start a Direct Message session with you to get your account details and handle your problem in a private/secure way.  That may happen in 1 to 48 hours.  Or more.


Or you can call 1-800-288-2020.  The hold time may be measured in hours, too.

Red X 3 means the receiver is not registering to your account. Similar to this receiver is not on your account message.

Will need to schedule a tech appointment who will likely need to chat to tier 2 support to have the receiver scrubbed clean and assigned to your account.
