No signal detected

When I try to switch from Netflix on my fire t.v. to HDMI 1 cable, ATT U-verse, I get the message 'No signal detected'. Does anyone no what is happening? Any suggestions on how to fix this? Do I need to get a new cable?

Let's help put a stop to the error message you're getting on U-verse TV, @Jenlew763!

 

Many receiver errors can be fixed by restarting your receiver. To do this, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds. This takes 5-8 minutes and will impact any DVR recordings in progress. If you have multiple receivers, reboot your wireless gateway by unplugging it from its power source. Wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.

 

In regards to replacing the HDMI cable, we do recommend giving that a try. This can help us determine if the cable is the cause for the 'No signal detected" error you're seeing.
