No Info Available about my recordings

For a couple of weeks, the uverse system has been unable to tell me what was recorded. It only says "No Info Available". I guess what the show is based on TV station and time. I can't think of anything specific that happened, although our wifi cuts out all day long.

Rebooting doesn't do a thing.

I'm not quite sure where to post this so please let me know if I need to move it to another area.

Thanks!

@livingtxlife I'd do a whole house reboot.

Unplug the RG and DVR and STB, wait 30 seconds and plug the RG back in.

When that turns all green, then plug the DVR back in and wait until it reboots.

Then plug in the STB (if you have any), wait til it reboots and see if Info shows up.

Acronym Guide so you understand all terms: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/17724

😉

If wireless problems, see SomeJoe's great wireless interference thread:

Also see the SJ post:

Please Read for a Potential Solution

For many people, the DHCP problems with the 2Wire routers can be solved by configuring the RG as follows:

1. Go to http://192.168.1.254/ and find the RG's wireless configuration page.

2. Change the setting "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" to Disabled.

3. Change the setting "Authentication Type" to WPA2-PSK (AES).

4. Click the "Save" button at the bottom.

5. This procedure may ask for your RG's password. The default password for your RG is printed on a sticker on the side of the RG (3600HGV, 3800HGV-B, 3801HGV and NVG589/510) or on a white sticker on the backup battery (i3812V).

Disabling WPS should help with the DHCP timeout issue and general wireless connection problems.

Setting authentication specifically to WPA2-PSK/AES improves connection reliability on Macs and other Apple products.

Good luck 😉

Chris

Sounds similar to what happened to me - No info in guide prevented recording. I am in CT & it was caused by the sale to Frontier.

So,you need to call for repair. If you are in CT call Frontier. Other local, call att.

I have had the 'No info available' problem for weeks

I have performed this procedure multiple times this week.  At least 5 times in the last two days.

The "fix" does not affect the problem

All of my recordings now show "no info available'

Recordings older than 2 weeks still have the original information about cast and title

I pay you guys a lot of money

How the heck do I fix this problem?
