Live HD picture choppy when recording in HD

When the DVR starts an HD recording, the Live HD picture on the television becomes choppy and pixelated.  Every time.  The system resources menu tells us we should have 1SD/3HD service, but I can't even get 2 HD streams to look decent.  The recordings often have problems too although not as bad (more intermittent) as the live TV.  I will also say that sometimes even when we switch to SD Live TV that the picture is still choppy, but this is more intermittent.  Is this a service issue or a DVR issue?  Or something else?


My husband is so done with the issue because we pay so much money for this service.

Could be the DVR, COAX/Ethernet connected to the DVR or line issue.

Better talk to technical support to further diagnose, 800-288-2020.
