Installed Uverse TV with Spectrum internet ... TVs working fine, Unable to connect to any Uverse streaming service

So I think I've made a huge mistake.

I have a roommate, and we decided to split the cost of utilities.

He has Spectrum Internet in his name and I just had Uverse installed in my name.

We're able to watch TV fine, but using any app such as HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, etc., it's not working at all.

I think it's because our devices are connected through the Spectrum internet line and when it tries to authenticate a subscription, it's not seeing a Uverse internet gateway so it's coming back invalid.

I spoke with the AT&T rep and they referred me to the app manufacturer.

Is there some way to route or mask the Spectrum internet through Uverse.

The technician actually installed a Uverse internet line, with its own SSID and password, but it doesn't have actual internet access. I tried connecting to it and the only thing I can do is log in to the IP address. I'm guessing that's where the Uverse receiver boxes are pulling the data from.

Is there anything I can do here or just give up trying?

Is the user ID you are using to login to the apps ending with @att.net or any other non att domain. If no, than you need to use the user ID that is associated with your account and should be @att.net

It's ending with @att.net.

On every app, I get a message saying something along the lines of not subscribed, inactive or sometihng like that.

I talked with an AT&T rep and verified I'm scubscribed to all the services and I can watch them on TV. But through any web app like hbogo.com or the actual mobile app, I'm not able to log in with the @att.net address.

I thought it had something to do with the internet being spectrum, but tried logging in on my phone too with Verizon's data and I'm getting the same message.

I have U-verse and it kept making me activate the idGo app today on my Firestick even though I had U-verse in the upper right corner of the screen, is U-verse having a problem?

Rest assured that you CAN use your Uverse credentials to log onto the various network apps if those networks are, in fact, in your package (ie: HBOGo, ShowtimeAnytime, etc.) and you are using a different internet provider. The trick is finding out WHY it's not letting you use those credentials.

I have a couple suggestions. Cancel the premium channels and go with the lowest package which has your local stations and purchase your premium channels through the stand alone app. You will get the same programs as the HBO go. Also you can cancel Uverse and get Spectrum TV. With Spectrum lowest package you get all your local stations as well as the sub channels. These are just suggestions.
