DVR won't work, I need a quick response

I just reactivated my service, my two wireless receivers work, but my DVR won't work, I keep getting a message saying "u-verse is not available at this time. Please try again later." I can't get anyone through the technical service hotline, and the chatroom won't start. This is extremely infuriating.

We would be happy to help you resolve your U-verse DVR issue @Superfate!


To resolve this issue, we recommend performing a Non-Disaster Recovery on the DVR:

  1. Unplug the DVR power cord from the wall or back of the box.

  2. Wait 10 seconds.

  3. Plug back in the DVR.

  4. When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the DVR again.

  5. Repeat this process two more times.

  6. Plug the receiver/DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen. If the Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above.

All of your recordings that were saved should be safe by doing these steps, so no need to worry about losing them.
