DVR skips and freezes

Pause live TV then suffer the skips and freezes on playback unless you switch channels and back again to live TV. Record a show then suffer skips and freezes on playback making shows virtually unwatchable? Maybe I should skip out and freeze my Uverse service and try elsewhere. Cannot find any resolution to this cheap DVR they have gone to and it's lackluster firmware. Obviously I'm not alone w/ this issue. Wake Up AT&T
