DVR Deleting Programs
Hello,
My DVR is randomly deleting programs I've watched (and chosen NOT to delete) and programs I haven't watched yet. I counted up to 6 in the last 24 hours. I don't know why this is happening. Is there a solution to this?

They're not all series recordings. I just realized I lost a movie that I didn't get to watch. I don't ever have the most recent episodes set to 3 or 7, as I prefer to erase them at my own pace.
On another note, I thought my mind was just playing tricks on me. But a few days ago, I had surely set 4 documentary episodes to record from 3 pm to 11 pm, and I made sure no other programs were scheduled to record at the same time these programs were recording. Two of them did not record at all. I have no idea what's going on.

Did you make sure the 4 documentaries were in the Scheduled Recordings area?
Is the Recording space getting near 10-20% range? If so, the DVR will delete programs to make room for upcoming recordings it knows that will be recorded.

I believe you can choose either "Until space is needed" or "Until I delete" for each recording. Once you get below 20% free space, those in "Until space is needed" can go away.
If all your recordings are marked "Until I delete", then when you reach near 10% you're going to start missing new recordings.

I have 62% of recording space available.
4 more recordings have disappeared as of today.

Disappeared, or were never made?
Were they set to "keep until I delete?"

They were already recorded, saved until I delete. And now they're literally gone.

I forgot to answer the question about scheduled recordings. I checked the scheduled recordings for the 4 documentaries, not only to see if they were scheduled to record, but also to be sure that nothing else was scheduled to record at the same time the documentaries were recording.

I would consider the following possibilities, and eliminate the possibilities that you can:

@jwalker77 Try this to see if it helps:
If the DVR functions are still not working, try a Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery.
Unplug the power cord of the DVR from the wall or from the back of the box and wait ten seconds. Plug the DVR back in.
When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the DVR again. Repeat this process two more times.
Plug the DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen.
If the Disaster Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above. If the Disaster Recovery screen appears, wait until completion.
If the Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery does not work, follow the steps for a Force Disaster Recovery
Will not erase recordings, take a bit of time. Good luck 😉
