uverse fiberoptic internet password
Tech that installed my fiberoptic line, modem, router, asked if I wanted to change password when he hooked it up. I said I would change it later. He said that if I change it then it won't be split into a 2.4 and 5.0 setup on my wifi. If I change pword then it will auto toggle between 2.4 and 5.0 based on the need for any given device. Apparently he can set it up so that I have a choice. I don't like anyone having my password but I don't want to lose the choice to pick. Does this sound accurrate?

Your password can be anything you want it to be, providing it meets the requirements.
If your username and password for 2.4 and 5Ghz are the same, your devices will automatically select the best network.
If you go to something like NetworkName2.4 and NetworkName5, then you'll be able to easily ascertain which is which. Those passwords can be the same or different, but your devices won't flip automatically.
The tech can show you how to set it up and then you can change it after they leave.
