Compliment for customer rep via phone
Hi, I did not get the random survey for my phone call, so I'm writing to compliment a customer rep in Odessa, TX named Joe. It was for U-verse internet only support and I called in via the 800-288-2020 number from California ~8:15 pacific time.
I was calling initially thinking I'd have a very lengthy conversation with 'customer retention' to attempt extending my internet only promotion for another year. Instead of even having to forward me to customer retention, Joe 'got the job done' and only took 19 minutes to do it, wow! He was even constantly acknowledging 'hold time' but it wasn't bad at all.
The first deal he saw he automatically knew was not as good as what I could switch to for Comcast and immediately moved on to find another deal that was very good. He was able to upgrade me from 3 Mbps to 12 Mbps with an equipment fee discount for a final price that was lower than I could have got with Comcast AND was almost identical to the price I was paying - so basically he extended my promotion with a speed increase.
Joe, I should have gotten your last initial, but hopefully the specifics of the location, call, and topic will get you some kudos with your supervisor:) Well done sir.
