New Active Armor upgrade fails uploading contacts (A32-5G)

Upgraded from Mobile Security / Call Protect to FREE version of Active Armor over a week ago and it immediately began failing while uploading contacts several times a day. I uninstalled the Call Protect app in case of conflict but did not help. Reading Active Armor revues shows this to be a fairly common problem going back for months with no solution. Was using the old program(s) without issue for years and love the new look / layout, but the constant upload errors are taking it's toll on my patience and app will be uninstalled from my phone by the end of the week if no solution is found beforehand. Thanks for any help anyone may have to remediate this matter.

We want to help get to the bottom of why your ActiveArmor app fails while uploading contacts, @pcdocstl

Here's a few recommendations we'd like you to try to help resolve what you're experiencing with the app:

  • Check your device's operating system to make sure it's running of the latest software.
  • Clear the app cache.
    • Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the  Settings icon.
    • Scroll to and select Apps > desired app > Storage > Clear cache.
  • Restart your device. ~ This is a simple fix to most device/app issues.

Something to keep in mind is that most apps are defaulted to work with the latest OS. If you are using an app on a rooted device and you are experiencing problems, we highly recommend using the OS the phone came with/ designed for. AT&T nor developers do not optimize their apps to run on Jailbroken devices

In addition you can check out the solutions written by the AT&T Community Forums team to help troubleshoot the app.

Please keep us updated on how this works for you.

Thank you for the suggestions, Sydne. Unfortunately, none of them were able to fix the problem that many including myself are experiencing. I was able to contact the developer and they assured me a fix will be included as part of the next update. Nothing to do now but wait for next update.

Add my name to the list...

I am a new subscriber with a new ATT S22, having this exact problem.

The Jun 8, 2022 update solved this issue for me. App uploads contact list correctly then activates Unknown call blocking.
