Looks like you ambushed that poor agent. They clearly had no idea they were dealing someone who had military cancellation. I’m sure there is much more you aren’t disclosing either as that’s a rather large bill. You do realize that putting your account on military cancellation does not absolve you paying off phones, yes? If they billed you the balance due on phones, those probably are valid charges.

They were made aware, I had also had this talk before and notes were made on my account explaining that ATT had failed to properly handle my account resulting in these charges. Yes, it is alot. That is how much 2 phones cost after the account was closed and their cost was posted to said account, along with 600 dollars of phone service. Also, putting an account on military cancellation does absolve you of paying of a single phone that has been on the account for more than a month (case by case basis), however I don’t see how a blatant violation of the SCRA and members contract results in “valid charges”, especially when ATT already admitted failing to handle them properly, made notes on my account saying they were not valid charges.
