Is a smartphone required for BGW320 self-installation?

I don't have a smartphone, only an ipad that connects via wi-fi, not cell. Does this mean I can't use the Smart Home Manager app to self-install this gateway, and would have pay the $99 fee to have the tech do it?

Fiber

We recently upgraded to fiber and since then we have had issues keeping my laptop connected. All other devises stay connected and my laptop stays connected to a hot spot, or when I sit at Starbucks and use their WIFI. I had a tech come out and the issue was not fixed.

I signed up for AT&T Fiber as a new customer. I received an email to claim my reward.  I filled out all of the information and was then told I was not eligible for an award because I did not incur an early cancellation fee from my other internet provider.  This condition is not listed

I cut my fiber cable.

When I upgrade to Fiber, can I keep my PACE 5268 gateway?

My current Internet 45 service and 5268 gateway is working just fine, but AT&T has sent me a letter saying I must upgrade to Fiber before 11/03/23 or my service will stop on ("or after" 11/03/23 -- they don't say how long after, 3 weeks, 3 years, don't know). Any obvious reason I can't continue
