Unlock s7 active

What if I brought the phone from a stranger. How to get it unlocked? I've never had att before so I dont know if it meets requirements. Just want y'all to unlock it for me. Maybe I become a customer but if I'm refused on unlocking this phone forget it. I would like to at least have a chance to shop around.

You have to request to unlock the phone online. The phone has to meet unlocking requirements.  Since you are not a AT&T customer answer NO and enter the IMEI number.  Link below to request unlocking.

We understand the importance of being able to explore options for a device unlock, Mitch74.

Special thanks to our ACE, Fl_retire, for their quick expertise.

Our first recommendation would be to check your device unlock requirements. You can make a request if your device:

  • Is an AT&T phone or device and isn’t active on another AT&T account.
  • Was paid in full when you bought it (not on an installment plan). You don’t have to wait 60 days to unlock it.
  • Has a paid-off installment plan.
    • Paid through your monthly bill: Submit your unlock request at the start of your next bill period.
    • Paid off early: The wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit your unlock request. Learn how pay off your installment plan.
  • Doesn’t have a past-due account balance. Make a payment to bring your account current. It will take 24 hours for your payment to post.
  • Hasn’t been reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.
  • Is an AT&T PREPAIDSM phone that has had paid service for at least six months. Check your device for an unlock app and make sure it has the most recent version of the app. Don’t see the app? Submit an unlock request online.

Good to know: Don't have an account with AT&T? You can still unlock an AT&T device as long as it meets all requirements.

Our second recommendation would be to check your request status after you submit your device unlock.

  • Check your email (including spam or junk folders) or text messages for updates on your request. If you don't have a wireless phone account, you have to select Confirm your request in the email we sent you.
  • Go to att.com/deviceunlock/status and follow the prompts.

Good to know:

  • It usually takes a few minutes to approve your request, but it can take up to 48 hours. Don't have a wireless phone account? Make sure you select Confirm your request in the email we sent you or request will be canceled.

Please let us know if this helps and we can continue offering more support. Thanks for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!
