My phone is unlocked from AT&T and now used outside USA
How can i update my phone because It says software version is up to date but its clearly not.

To do an over the air software update of an AT&T branded phone, you must be connected to Wi-Fi and AT&T's Carrier Network, a requirement somewhat difficult to fulfill outside of the United States.
AT&T doesn't provide a readily available way to otherwise download system phone software, since they have the Over the Air system in place. Check with your phone's manufacturer, who may be able to help you. There may also be other mechanisms that we can't mention here, but may range into the realm of risky.
