Since Sept 1 Text messages from 1 particular person show in log but are not showing on my phone
My Samsung Galaxy S22 has stopped registering text messages from my spouse who has a Galaxy S9+
The phone shows messages from my son who has an S9+
The messages show in the AT&T text usage log as having been received and my spouse is receiving my texts - why are theirs not showing on my phones Messages app anymore?

I will report back once the suggestions given have been tried.
I can already tell you that the texts from the S9+ is not having issues being shown on any other phones.
The text log on the AT&T account is registering that the texts are being sent from the S9+ and being received by the S22 phone. It is the message app that is not showing them

Hello @TinaMap, we understand the importance of having smooth text service, and we are here to help.
Let's start off with a few troubleshooting steps:
Tap the “Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth” or “Reset Network Settings” option, depending on your version of Android. You’ll need to confirm that you want to proceed. Tap “Reset Settings” to begin the process.
Note: This will also reset Wi-Fi networks, passwords, cellular settings, VPN and APN settings that you have used before.
If the problem still persists, then please visit Get Text Messaging Help - AT&T Wireless Customer Support (att.com) and TAP on Let's Get Started to proceed to Troubleshoot text message issues.
Thank you for visiting AT&T Community Forums!

Thank you for these suggestions and we will try them.
But, the Galaxy S22 is receiving text messages from every phone except this particular S9+, so I think there may be something else going on.
Was there something in the latest system update to the S22 that changed the message app?

Hey @TinaMap, let's get you the help you need!
Please let us know if the situation has been resolved after trying these troubleshooting steps.
If the situation still persists, try sending messages from S9+ to different phones, this will give us clarity if it's the device issue.
We recommend you to have the device checked with the Official Samsung center at 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864)
Let us know if you have any more questions.
Thank you,
Scarlett, AT&T Community Specialist
