Sending pics via text no longer resizes image

I have been having this issue for awhile and I am beyond frustrated!  I have a Note 10, in the past when sending a pic via text message I was always given the option to "resize image", that no longer happens and the images are between 2 and 4 mb!  Needless to say this uses A LOT of data, is EXTREMELY slow, and 99% of the time I have to turn wi-fi off to get it to send at all, and even then it takes several minutes to go thru.

The only answers I have found on the web are to either download a third party app to resize the image or open the image in gallery and use the resize option and then attach image to text.  This is a time consuming pain in the (Edited per community guidelines), and I want my option to resize image within the text message back.  Is this an options setting somewhere?  Or has one of the gagillion updates just screwed my phone up?  Friends of mine with Samsung phones are not having this issue, and their phones still give them the option to resize!!!

Hi @, let's take a closer look into why you're no longer able to resize images.

Try clearing the cache for your messaging app, and resetting of network settings.

Settings icon > scroll to and select General management > select Reset > Reset network settings > Reset settings > select Reset to confirm.

Note: Resetting your network settings deletes previously associated Wi-Fi networks, security passcodes, Bluetooth devices and cellular network data settings.

Also, make sure that your advanced messaging is set up, and you have the most up to date software installed on your smartphone.

We hope this information helps, and thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Hi @, we appreciate your team work. We have one last suggestion, which is one of our most helpful tools that we'd like for you to utilize.

Visit our wireless support article and select "Fix an Issue". Then you'll navigate to Connection>Messaging and allow the troubleshooting to begin. This tool will provide our top solutions after discovering any service/technical errors that could be keeping your MMS messages from resizing when sending picture messages.

Also, you'll want to check and make sure your device is up to date with the latest software.

Come back and let us know what results you receive.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
