Samsung S8 plus, can't update, says up-to-date

Just received replacement S8 Plus and I cannot update to the latest version it keeps saying Software up to date. I had the latest version on my other S8 plus but this one is not getting it. What do I do?

did you have the phones IMEI added to your account when you received the phone?
