Samsung S22 Speakers make an Annoying Crackling/Static Noise
My new S22 has been giving me problems with all of the speakers, they make a crackling noise whenever music, ringtone, alerts, or when I talk on the phone. This usually happens when I arrive in another city by plane, I turn my airplane mode off and my service looks to be normal until the speakers are used. This lasts up to 1-2hrs and the phone seems to work fine until I travel by plane again. Has anyone ran into this problem? I see quite a few people on Samsung forums with the same issues. Samsung had me go to UBREAKIFIX twice now and they found out there is an issue with my MIC and error downloading packets. And Samsung wants me to send the phone in to them (purchased through them) and for me to ask ATT for a loaner phone while they inspect/repair or replace the S22!! Any fixes will be appreciated!

Hi @hoangmai951! Considering the steps you have already taken to get that cracking noise resolved, it sounds like that trend with your Samsung Galaxy S22 is internal.
You can check if this is a hardware or software-related problem, or if it’s only happening with a particular application. Be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated with the latest version.
Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.
Also, it's possible that your phone's audio is being redirected if your phone is connected via Bluetooth to your wireless headphones or a wireless speaker:
If your phone is connected to another device via Bluetooth, the audio might be playing through the other device (wearable, headphones, another phone, etc.).
Finally, try using the microphone in safe mode. If there is no problem in Safe Mode, it may be a problem caused by an installed third-party app on your phone. To find which app is causing the issue, you can try uninstalling the apps in the order of the last installation.
If the device works in Safe Mode, an app is most likely causing that trend with your phone. Remove recently downloaded apps one by one until that trend is resolved. If it persists when your device is running in Safe Mode, then your experience is not caused by an app. To exit Safe Mode, restart your device.
Make sure to remove any external accessories plugged into the headphone jack. You will want to remove selfie sticks and any attached phone cases, protective film and adhesives. What's more, clean your phone's microphone as any debris or foreign objects could be causing your experience.
As a final resort, you may have to send in your phone to the manufacturer, as recommended. While AT&T does not have loaner phones, we do offer AT&T PREPAID phones that will keep you connected while your device is undergoing maintenance.
With AT&T PREPAID service for your phone, you get: no annual contract, no credit check, easy activation, and great plan and phone choices to fit your needs. You can cancel anytime after your original phone returns.
Please be advised that you will have a new phone number with AT&T PREPAID, so you will need to notify your contacts of your temporary number once you send in your Samsung Galaxy S22 to the manufacturer.
We hope this info helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance with AT&T products and services. Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.

I would highly doubt that AT&T is going to have a loaner phone for you to use. Buy a cheap prepaid one from Walmart and move your SIM into it. Then send your S22 off for repair.

Thanks but no thanks to you all that mentioned the obvious about ATT not having loaner phones! Just an update...
Sent the S22 in and Samsung sent it back saying they gave it a "software update." I bought my wife the same phone and the software is the same software, so I doubt they even gave it an update. Haven't gotten a chance to test her phone out yet since she hasn't flown. Pretty disappointed in this whole mess and its making me having doubts of ever buying anything from Samsung again.
I'm transferring all of my old data minus the apps to the "repaired" phone now and will update this forum after my next flight. I've been told that some apps may cause this issue, which I don't really think so but I'll give it a shot. Speakers sound like poo poo. Samsung forums have said that low pressure (while flying/high elevation) may be causing this and that popping the sim card out for a sec solves the issue.

I have a similar issue. I put my phone in airplane mode, and after landing in a new city, and turning airplane mode off the speakers are completely busted. Cannot make phone calls, or watch videos or music because the speakers have a crackling sound, and sometimes no sound.
Does your phone work fine after Samsung's "update"? Were you able to fly to a new city without any problems?

@instinct71 after all the drama and sending it to Samsung the 2nd time for "no repair," they said my refund has been processed. I'm waiting on Citibank to contact me to see how I what payment method I want to take. Initially Samsung rep told me it would take 4-5 days, its been about 10 days and now said that Citibank could take up to 21 days to pay.
To answer your question, no, the update didn't do anything. When the issues occur, I popped out the sim tray and the problem stopped instantly, so give that a try next time. My wife has the same phone and flew with it last week with no issues (thankfully).

Fyi the real reason of that isnt any software issue or anything like that, its just the internal pressure of the air inside the phone,
the bad side, that mean the seal of the phone its not perfect, so carefull with the water too
Went we are on the plane the pressure of the air its higher than normal, that cause with the defective seal the pressure on the phone increase too causing that the speaker son cracky but with the time will be normal again.
A good way to release the pressure its just like was mention here, remove the simcard tray

So this happened to me yesterday, but within my 14 days, so I can return the phone (luckily have my old S9 still to switch it back to). But if this is a regular problem, no matter the phone, should i just return it and keep my old S9 cracked and withering that it is, until the 23 comes out next year?

I had same speaker issue with my new Samsung Zflip4. This phone replaced my last zflip4 that had screen ink issue after 3 weeks (I had to pay $275 for ins replacement) as it was a werk past warranty. Replacement phone speaker started crackling day 2 or 3. Speaker started working the day my 3rd phone arrived. I did run an update as deleted some apps that came on phone so think that resolved issue but sending phone back & praying new phone lasts more than past 2 phones.
