samsung galaxy watch5 battery

I have had my watch5 since middle of November brand new from ATT store. The battery on it doesn't last at all. I have to place it on the charger daily. My galaxy watch 4 lasted 2-1/2 days before needing a charge. Any ideas on what could be draining the battery so quickly? The ATT associate set it up for me and I didn't change any settings on it. just a faulty device will ATT even allow a replacement. I use to track my step and my sleep so needing to charge every single day bugs me when the older version I had lasted longer.

Hi calidreamin4946. Here are some troubleshooting tips that can help with the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy Watch 5.

First, we recommend that you try some helpful tips to extend your battery performance when you visit Optimize Battery Life.

If your experience persists despite the first recommendation, make sure that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on and mobile networks on “auto”. Otherwise, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off you are forcing the watch to use LTE continuously which drains the battery much faster than normal.

Sometimes apps may have a bug that causes them to use excessive battery, make sure all your apps are updated for the best performance. Learn how to download the latest apps by viewing the details under App management followed by Download Apps & Games at AT&T Device Support.

Also, you can exchange any new AT&T Certified Pre-Owned or AT&T Certified Restored devices that are still under warranty. You will want to see the information under Make a warranty device exchange when you stop by Exchange a device under warranty.

Try this and let us know how it goes. Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.
