Samsung Galaxy S7 Active FM Tuner No Longer Works With Next Radio After Android 8 Update.
Make: Samsung
Model: Galaxy S7 Active (SM-G891A)
Android Version: 8.0.0
NextRadio Vesion: v5.0.2334-release
As the title states, I was previously able to listen to my local FM stations through my phone's built in FM Tuner (not streaming) on Android 7. However post-update, I am unable to get any audio using the included Samsung earbuds (TRRS pinout) and get loud static with my normal headphones (TRS pinout).
I have followed the suggested fix here to no avail (sans factory reset): https://forums.att.com/t5/Samsung-Discussion-Support/Next-radio/m-p/4340284
I have also submitted a bug report to NextRadio themselves, so I was hoping to get a fix here before I submit a bug report to the Android team themselves.
Thanks

Hey @nwinston94,
Thank you for reaching out to us on community forums. We can help!
A post-update app error can be resolved by resetting the system apps cache in the apps settings menu. By clearing the cache and resetting the device, you will force any out-of-date applications to update.
If this does not return app functionality, you may consider looking to see if any debris is stuck in the headphone jack or testing other audio applications to see if it's device or app specific. Damage to the device or damage to the NextRadio app could factor into functionality. Also, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

I have tried those suggested fixes however they aren't responsible. I got in contact with the NextRadio devs and they said that my error is common with Samsung users who recently upgraded to Android 8. They're getting in contact with Samsung to fix the issue as it seems to be a driver issue or something with their app conflicting with Android 8. Here's the instructions he sent me for submitting bug reports so that way they can get the fix made faster:

We have received some reports that users are unable to listen to FM in NextRadio after installing the Android Oreo update. This only seems to affect some users, and we have contacted Samsung to try to figure out the issue.
Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the inconvenience!
If you are willing and able here are some additional steps to help us collect information to pinpoint this issue:

*#*#4636#*#* temporarily allows nextradio to work on my galaxy s7. But, I have to use it every time.

You must turn on next radio and select a station before making the call to *#*#4636#*#*
