Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra speech to text

I want to be able to use to speech to text hands free on my new Galaxy S22 Ultra.  When I select the microphone option, I have to hold down on it, which creates a recording that I have to actually listen to.  It isn't turning the speech into written text format and I can't seem to find an answer to make this work as I want it to.  It worked great on my Galaxy Note 8!
