S7 edge call drops and reconnects after the July update
Hello ,,
I update the security patch on my phone in July and after the update phone started acting weirdly.
I have many issues.
1. Making a call- whenever I make call, the call dials and disconnects immediately and phone will be unresponsive until the call redials automatically. Some time it brings up the game running in the background.
2. Display won't time out until I clear the all the games.
3. Battery drains pretty quick even in standby mode .
4. Notifications from Gmail won't disappear after I open the mail . I have to clear it
5. call quality is worst .
6. Rich text messaging doesn't work
When I called at&t they said no one has this issues. But I have a friends and every one of them carries same s7 edge at&t and everyone has the same issue.
Can someone help me figuring it out .
Thanks

Good afternoon @Lakshman!
The issues you are experiencing with your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are quite perplexing. We definitely want to get this phone working for you again. I have some suggestions to get this resolved.
If you have not already done so, please power the phone off for 30 seconds and then back on. This is always the first thing to try when the phone is behaving oddly.
The next thing to try is to wipe the cache partition on the device. Follow the instructions to below complete this task.
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key, Home key, and Power key at the same time.
3. When the phone powers on, the Android System Recovery screen appears approx. 30 seconds later.
4. Release all of the keys.
5. Press the Volume down key to highlight "wipe cache partition."
6. Press the Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight “yes” and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, please select “Reboot system now”.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
If this does not resolve the issue, you will need to back up and reset the phone. To back up using a computer, please connect your phone to a PC with your USB cord. On your device, swipe down on your Notification bar and select Android System Charging Notification > Transferring media files or Transferring images. Then on the computer select Windows Start Icon > Computer > Device Drive and drag the files you want to save to your computer.
When you have successfully backed up the phone you are ready to reset the device. To do this please go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory Data Reset > RESET DEVICE > DELETE ALL. You will keep the most recent software version, however any residual data or file corruption will be erased.

Good Wednesday afternoon @Lakshman!
If you have successfully reset the device and it is still experiencing the issue, we will need to look at replacing the phone. Please send a private message to @ATTCares. In this message include your full name and wireless number.
Once I have this information we can see if you qualify for a warranty replacement or if we need to upgrade.
Thank you for being part of the Community Forums and have a great weekend.
