S22 Ultra google messages problems!
Randomly my phone refuses to use the chat feature! I have everything updated. I restarted my phone. I forced stopped and cleared the cache. On my mom's phone the chat feature works and nothing has changed. It works then I put my phone to sleep( turn the screen off.) and then I wake my phone and it refuses to send the message. Sometimes forcing messages to stop and clearing the cache, sometimes it doesn't work. I don't see why the the chat feature stops working after I turn my screen off?

You can check our guide to Google Messages to help in troubleshooting the app for you. This will mention the RCS chat, which allows you to chat with more people on eligible devices, send larger files (up to 100mb), and allows for read receipts.
Rich Communication Services (RCS) is a feature in Messages by Google application on new Android 12 OS and above devices. Make sure to avoid conflicting features on your account, including the following:
-SMS or MMS blocks you have added to your account.
-Data blocks you have added to your account.
If you have one of these features, they must be removed from your account for Advanced Messaging to work.

I don't have any of those blocks. As I said it works then I put my phone to sleep any amount of time (it happens randomly), the rcs features just stop working. I can use rcs chatting to message my mother and when I put my phone to sleep, seemingly randomly with a randomly amount of time passing, the message refuses to send! It will send with me clicking on the message and selecting "send as sms/mms instead".

My RCS has stopped working on S22 (att phone) even though it says it connected. My S22 Ultra (att phone) is stuck on Setting up. Previously they worked since Oct of last year but now it's not working again! Got to be something with the att servers for RCS... hopefully it doesn't take 7 months to fix
