S& Android version upgrade problem
I am trying to upgrade the Android version from 6.0.1 on a Samsung S7 which has been off the network for a while. I connected to wifi and did the software updates several times successfully, but the Android version remains the same. I have another S7 which upgraded itself to Android 8, no issues. Any ideas are welcome.

You're going to be on your own to flash any updates.
AT&T will not be able to help you. It's very unlikely AT&T will have that update available on his servers anymore it's too old. If you are not running Android marshmallow now, connecting to AT&T will not resolve your problem the phone will just be blocked from the network.
