Problem Still Not Resolved

I'm continuously having issues with my multimedia and group text messages. I have called and asked for support with this many times and the problem continues. Everyone keeps doing the same thing. I personally feel that this phone is a lemon and I should be given a replacement since I'm still under warranty. I bought this phone in August 2020. I was told to download the tech support app. I tried to but it wouldn't send me the code I needed to complete downloading it. On Sunday, 11.15.2020, I went through the website and did chat support. I was told that a help desk ticket was going to be submitted and I would be contacted in 24 to 48 hours. No one has contacted me.

Hi @sharlawilliams_04,

Thank you for reaching out. We wan to take a closer look into this for you.

To better assist, we want to know:

  • when did this start
  • what specific device do you have
  • did you try our advanced messaging application

We recommend you change your SIM card at an AT&T store to see if this helps

Let us know how it goes.

So this started several weeks ago, I have a A71 5G. I do have my advanced messaging on. I have to turn it off, restart my phone, and turn it back on to download messages. I went to the AT&T store yesterday afternoon and got a new sim card. However, it started later that evening to not downloading messages again. I think it is the phone.

Thank you for the update, @sharlawilliams_04!

Let's look into this for you.

  • How is the signal strength on your device, poor or strong?
    • If poor, are you able to use other features such as calls, browsing the web, and individual text messages?
    • If also poor, please reply and verify your ZIP code. It's likely your area is impacted by scheduled service interruption.
  • Is your experience the same using Wi-Fi Calling only? Do this by disabling cellualr data:
    1. Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the Settings icon.
    2. Select Connections, then select Mobile networks.
    3. Select the Mobile Data switch.

Make sure to verify your device's software version and update following these instructions. If your experience persists despite the steps above then let us know. There may be some other steps we can try in order to repair your current messaging trend.

Hi, my calls have been coming through. My zip code is 80249. I did the Mobile Data Switch off and that did not stop it. Also, I need my mobile data when I'm not connected to WiFi, correct?
