One UI / Android Pie 9.0 software update for Galaxy S8 Active

When I check for updates on my newly purchased Galaxy S8 Active, it keeps saying that the software is already up to date, which is Android Oreo 8.0. I traded in my Galaxy S8 for the Active since I assumed it would have the latest update but alas that does not seem to be the case. I really do not to pay the restocking fee, which is why I need confirmation as to when this update will be made available to the S8 Active, especially since it is newer than the S8 I had before. T-Mobile has announced that the Pie 9.0 update is in development, while the original carrier of the Galaxy S Active series has yet to speak on it. Please let me know if and when the update is going to be made live for the Active because I need to know if whether or not I should return the device.
