Not receiving texts
I’m not receiving texts on my iPhone from my parents Samsung phones. They are able to call me, but they’re texts are not coming through. What’s going on??

I saw on someone else’s post about a similar issue, to enable wifi calling and their problem was solved. I did that before trying any type of reset, and it worked. I don’t need to keep that feature on for the texts to come thru, just the act of turning it on and off has fixed whatever was going on. Thank you for your time and attention, much appreciated.

Hello @ConnCamp67,
We'd be more than happy to take a closer look into why you're unable to receive text messages from your parents.
We'll need some additional details in order for us to better assist you:
Please let us know.
In the meantime, we recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to fix this. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution.
We hope this helps and look forward to hearing back from you soon!

It started on March 28.
I can send them text messages, pics included, and they go through. However, they’re texts and pics to me don’t. I am able to send to others with no problem as well. No group texts with my parents. They do not get any type of error message after they try.
My phone does have the latest update. I don’t know about their phones though.

Hello @ConnCamp67,
Thank you for providing additional details.
Try one more possible resolution for us.
Reset your network settings on your device and let us know if this was any help to receiving messages from your parents devices. This resets the network back to it's original settings and refreshes the network, and will reset Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and saved passwords.
To do this go to your Settings>General management>Reset>Reset option>Reset network settings.

“and will reset Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and saved passwords.”
Does this mean I will lose saved passwords, and have to re-enter them? I just want to know what to expect before I try the reset.

Hello @ConnCamp67,
Thanks for reaching back out to us.
That's correct. You will lose any previously saved passwords to Wi-Fi networks that you previously connected to automatically.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions before attempting the network reset.
Hope this helps!
