Not an att customer

I am not an att customer and bought the Samsung Galaxy S10+ from a man before he went to prison and I've had it since May but it was with cricket wireless but my service is with a totally different carrier

Hey there, Mrfaulkner_89! Here's what you need to know about unlocking a device you received secondhand.

We want to advise that the information that @sandblaster provided is correct. Any phone used on the AT&T network must meet our eligibility requirements for unlock, this includes completion of installment plans (for any cellphone purchased through AT&T) and service commitments such as at least 60 days of active service on the AT&T network (6 months for AT&T PREPAID devices).

We hope this information helps. Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.

So what’s your question? Presuming you want to unlock it, you need to contact Cricket if it is locked to Cricket. If it is locked to ATT: https://att.com/deviceunlock

The device is locked to att but they said it had installments but I didn't know that because he was using crockery wireless and I travel and need it unlocked

Sorry, ATT won’t unlock the phone if it wasn’t paid off and you can’t pay it off. Only the original owner can pay it off.
