How do I disable 5g on my S21?

Title pretty much says it all.

I had dial up through ATT for 8 years. Anytime I enter an area with 5g my phone becomes completely inoperable, with speeds and latency worse than dial up.

Not a single app that requires mobile data works. Including email, banking, and internet.

I'm not interested in waiting on 5g to get better,  and I'm not interested in your coverage map. When the service icon says 5g, my phone is bricked.

Edit: I apologize if this came off rude. I did try reseting my network (as detailed in another thread) and it switched me to 4g.

I do a lot of traveling so disabling 5g till the network is ready is a necessity, I'm unfortunately one of the masses who's job is chained to having service

ATT does not allow network switching on ATT branded android.  You want to turn off 5G and use LTE only you need a iPhone at this point.

In settings under connection I believe you have the alternative to switch from global to LTE

Thank you kindly for the time and reply!

I navigated to the Mobile Networks menu as detailed in the article you linked, but unfortunately I do not have a "Network Mode" submenu.

All I have is:

Mobile Data

International Data Roaming

Allow 2G Service

Access Point Names

Network Operators

Mobile Network Diagnostics

I have a gut feeling that I'm not able to disable it on my end

I figured that was going to be the case. Dang.

Well thank you both

Too bad.  I purchased the unlock model of the Samsung Galaxy S21 plus and do have the option to turn off 5G.

The unlocked version of the S22 apparently does not have the option of turning off 5g either. Fortunately, when I'm in a 5G compatible area, the service is generally very good. I understand it's quite a significant drain on the battery compared with using only LTE. Oh well...
