Flashing unlocked Galaxy Xcover pro to AT&T

I’ve talked to tech support a couple times about flashing my Samsung Galaxy Xcover pro using Odin program windows. They text me a link both times and even called back and left detail voice msg.
when I click the link from my iPhone, it takes me to their website and says my phone is up to date, but they don’t control any updates concerning iOS. The website is confused.
im wondering if I could forward the link to my email and open it on my windows laptop and if it’d help.

I can get several different firmware versions online for flashing with Odin, but I prefer to get it directly from AT&T before I know I won’t have to worry about a corrupted file. Any ideas from anyone?

AT&T cannot and will not provide you with software updates for a phone that is not AT&T branded. You are entirely on your own to locate and flash your phone with AT&T software on your unlocked Samsung phone

The only discussion you will have with AT&T is how to update the software on AT&T branded phones.

Hello, @BradThomas89991  we'd be glad to provide some clarification.

In some instances, the manufacturer may not have released an update for your device. You can check what version is available and the latest release date using the instructions below.

  1. Visit Device Support.
  2. Select or change the selected device brand and model, if needed.
  3. Scroll down and select the System dropdown.
  4. Then choose Software update.
  5. You'll see details like: Release date, software version, and more
  6. Repeat the above steps to check for software updates for a different device.

Requirements To Update:

  • AT&T Branded Device - Software update releases are only available for AT&T branded devices. This means if you brought your device from another carrier, it may not download. You may need to contact the manufacturer.
  • The device must be on the AT&T network to download the update
  • A compatible device – Some software updates are not available for all makes & models due to the hardware requirements needed to download the update. This is controlled by the manufacturer and not AT&T.
  • Wi-Fi Connection – Some updates require an internet connection. Connect to Wi-Fi to download the update.
  • Space - If your device does not have enough space, consider erasing unneeded files to make room.
  • If the device was not originally on the AT&T network, the update may fail.
  • Power - Your device may need at least 80% battery power.

If you are wondering how to check for an update on your device? Check out our step by step guide, just choose your device and follow the prompts.

Note: You may need to contact the original carrier, or manufacturer, to download the latest updates if your device is not AT&T Branded. Completing that process can void your device warranty and lock your device on our network, causing you to continue to pay and/or owe installments for a locked device.
