AT&T Personal Cloud

I'm using AT&T Personal Cloud to transfer from LG Expressions to Samsung Galaxy. It will only transfer the received sms messages. the sent messages are left out. Can this be fixed?

Hello cwillia798, that is a good question about AT&T Personal Cloud.

 

We understand the importance of MMS/SMS messaging.

If you're on a device that supports the syncing of text messages and call logs to AT&T Personal Cloud, you won't be able to access that content using the Cloud app. Instead, you can manage what is in the cloud from the standard text messaging and calling apps on your device. For example, deleting a text message from the messaging app also deletes the message from AT&T Personal Cloud.
Heads up: Disabling the sync of text messages or call logs can result in differences between what's on your device and what's in your Cloud storage.

 

When you first sync your device with AT&T Personal Cloud, all text messages from the last 90 days sync to the cloud. From that time, all new text messages sent or received on your device also sync to the cloud.

When you switch to a new device, all your text messages saved in AT&T Personal Cloud are restored to your new device.
Heads up: The first time you sync to AT&T Personal Cloud may take a long time, depending on how many text messages and how much other content you have to sync. For your first sync, always use Wi-Fi with your device connected to a wall outlet until the process is complete.

 

We also recommend you check you back up setting AT&T Personal cloud.

 

 

  • Open the AT&T Personal Cloud app.
  • Tap the app menu (3 lines) and then Settings.
  • Select What to Back Up to choose content types.
  • Tap How to Back Up, and then Wi-Fi Only or Wi-Fi and Mobile Networks.

When I backed up my LG Phone to AT&T Cloud it looks like all the sms/ms messages are there. But when I try to restore those messages to my new Samsung phone only the sms messages I received show up. No out-going messages appear on my new phone. Is there a fix for this?

We understand the impact when we lose content while transferring from one device to a new device. We recommend you check you back up setting AT&T Personal cloud.

 

 

  • Open the AT&T Personal Cloud app.
  • Tap the app menu (3 lines) and then Settings.
  • Select What to Back Up to choose content types.
  • Tap How to Back Up, and then Wi-Fi Only or Wi-Fi and Mobile Networks.
