ATT Network Brick
ATT network locked phone keeping me hostage on carrier. Countless calls and numerous escalations and I still can't get my Galaxy 21 MCK key. ATT 1st tier support are totally clueless (useless) and keep providing PIN or PUC even when told to stop and escalate. Currently have 3 escalated cases in for over a month. Each time I have been told more or less "we are working on it". Filed complaint with the FCC. Contacted Samsung and told them they have to either compel the carrier to provide the key or allow them to provide it. Clearly they are stonewalling. What's worse I never get updates and when I call I have to tell them to "please just be quiet and listen carefully" while I give specifics over and over and over again. What part of "I need the MCK code" is hard to understand?
Search these forums using keywords like network locked, frozen, MCK, PUC and search the Internet for "ATT network locked phones (Edited per community guidelines)" to read more!

My understanding is ATT does not have the MCK code, that you get from Samsung. @formerlyknownas do I have that right?

AT&t does not have the mck code but they can get it from Samsung for you. Samsung cannot give it to you. Your best bet is to file a routine FCC complaint. The complaint is forwarded back to AT&t upper management and they will contact Samsung for you

Classic AT&T - stonewalling any efforts by dissatisfied former customers from moving to alternative service providers. What's next? How about suppression of free speech on their media platforms....

Well that's a classic yourself. You might want to read the first amendment so that you understand what it means. It's referring to the government suppression of free speech.
A private platform is allowed to pick and choose what it puts on its services and what it doesn't.
No one who has responded here is an employee or in any way being paid, getting kickbacks or bribes by AT&T.
If you have already made an FCC complaint and have been turned down, or have been told you have to wait, I see nothing wrong with that response. Unlocking is voluntary. AT&T does have the right to refuse to unlock a phone if it is not eligible.
And if AT&T cannot get Samsung to respond and provide the mck code, or does not have a correct unlock code then they have done all they can.

Thanks for attempting to "inform" me but I can assure you I clearly know the meaning. Perhaps you could benefit from getting some enlightenment on who controls the government and what's been happening to free speech for decades.

Unlocking an AT&T phone also requires at least 12 months of faultless, on-time payments. You can be denied an unlock request if your payment due date was once in a 12 month period, late by a minute past midnight.

@krconway ,
Since no one seems to have stopped you, your point is disproved.
You are free to speech away.
You're welcome.
