AT&T prepaid service Works in both the US Canada and Mexico without any additional charges. Just order a SIM card and phone online, or go to an AT&T store and purchase both.

You didn't mention a phone, many phones will not work on AT&T and will not roam in Canada you need to purchase an AT&T compatible device or an AT&T branded phone or iPhone in order to use the service in the USA and Canada.

If you are not a US resident and will not be using this permanently in the United States and canada, do not buy a phone from AT&T. AT&T phones are locked out of the box and will remain so for a minimum of 60 days, with Prepaid the lock is 6 months. Purchase a phone made for North America from a manufacturer.   IPhone, Samsung, Google pixel...

We'll be happy to help you stay connected during your holiday @knghi!

If you already have an AT&T phone and SIM card, with the correct plan, you'll be good to go. All of our currently offered unlimited plans as well as our $75, $65 and $40 prepaid plans allow you to make calls, send texts, and use data as if you were in the United States. You won't need a new SIM card for that.

If you do not currently have service with us, as @formerlyknownas stated, make sure to get a phone that's compatible with our network, preferably a branded device. You can then set up prepaid service that will work in both countries.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions; if so, we'll be happy to assist further.
