Prepaid plan international service add on
Why is canada not listed as a select country in This List?
Is data text and calling already covered for canada?
what can I do to add text and data to for travel to canada?
thank you

You're referring to that plan as if it's current. It's very old. You should switch your plan to the current $30 plan at the end of your current cycle. And change to the $40 plan each time you go to Canada.
The current $30 plan includes unlimited talk and text and 5 GB of data. (you have what? 2 gigs, 3 gigs?) Sub 6 gig plans are pay per use in Canada or Mexico. There is no auto pay credit on either $30 or $40 plan
The $40 plan includes unlimited talk and text and 15 GB of data and can be used without extra charge in Canada or Mexico . You can switch back to the $30 plan when you return from Canada.
Remember that prepaid does not prorate and that changing plans terminates the plan you were on and you must pay for a new plan in full to resume service.
* anytime you are out of the USA and Canada or a Mexico you must turn on roaming!

Just for context, I've frequently traveled to canada this year and have never been able to use data voice or texting while there: only receive calls and texts from international callers like spam risks and my employer. So as far as I know the prepaid plan does not support this.

Canada isn't listed because you don't have to pay for the $35 add-on in Canada. On the 8 GB and up prepaid plans, roaming in Canada and Mexico is included at no extra charge. If you have the $30 Prepaid Plan with only 5 GB, roaming is at low pay per use rates
Which prepaid plan do you have? And have you enabled roaming when you are outside of the USA?

I'm on the 35$ one, that's now the 5$ off with autopay one, that's now the 33.50 one with taxes.
I have tried to do roaming but never got a signal. And no texts or calls would be sent out: they would say sent but no once ever received them. I also rebooted my phone while i was there to no avail.

BTW, ATTHelp listed plans that will work in Canada and Mexico...
As I mentioned the $30 5 gig plan is pay per use outside of the United States.
And..
That phone number is for postpaid travelers. Prepaid Travelers can call AT&T without charge when they are outside of the country at +1.408.962.1025

Okay well thank you, I'll have to try that.
I think its really a waste to have to pay for 15 gb of data.... I use about 500 megs a month.
I upgraded this month to the 40$ plan. Lets hope that works.
Thanks again and ill be posting again next week after i take my trip
