Plan change before previous plan finished

I changed my plan, but I started my last plan for one week, and now my last plan can't use. I also need to pay for the present plan. Because when I started my card, the assistant said I can changed plan whenever before my plan finish, the plan I changed will take effect in next month. So I changed, but my last plan couldn't use. How can I solve it?
