How to suspend my plans

So I'm an international student who's currently back in my home country due to the pandemic. I'm wondering if there's any way that I can suspend the payment for 5 months or so before I know when exactly I would be able to return back to states? Also it is kind of hard for me to make phone calls to U.S. numbers right now so I guess the right question should be if there's any way that I can suspend the service via the internet/ email?

Suspending service does not stop your auto-pay from withdrawing funds every month. All it does is prevent your sim card from working.

Are you able to access your account online? If yes, change your plan to a pay-per-use plan, and then refill with $25 which extends your account for 90 days. Put a reminder in your phone for 89 days, refill again in 89 days with another $25. The $50 will still be in your account 180 days from the date of your original refill and can be used to pay for monthly service.

If you are not able to access your account online, you will have to call the international number for prepaid Travelers and ask them to do all of the above for you.

@YWang You are still able to access your account? Might I ask what country you are in? The reason I ask is account access is blocked from most locations abroad, trying to determine which countries are not blocked.

I'm in China rn but I'm using a VPN provided by my school so I guess that is why I could get access ...

Yes, the VPN explains it. Thanks. Still good to know a VPN works.
