Hotspot Add On
Hi - i got a message about getting a free 5g of mobile hotspot added to my account for being a customer. I cannot get my phone to pop up the mobile hotspot. It keeps telling me i need to contact AT&T. I checked my account and the 5g of data for the hotspot is for sure there.

Pop up?
I have hotspot access and it does not "pop up" .
You have to turn it on in settings, where you can access the pass key that you have to enter into a secondary device in order to connect to the phones hotspot.
Your phone may also have a hotspot icon available in quick settings which will turn it on and make it available to devices which already have the pass key.

The only current plan that has 5 GB of hotspot is the $30 Prepaid Plan, the entire plan is limited to 5 gigs all of which could be used to tether a secondary device if you wish. If you switched from a different plan that did not have hotspot access, you will have to call AT&T to have them reprovision your account. It should have been automatic but it doesn't always happen that way

@formerlyknownas @ATTHelp The hotspot option isn’t there to turn on. When I go to my settings and hit Cellular it says ‘set up personal hotspot’ and when I click it - it tells me i have to call or go to the website to activate it. My account shows I have 5g of hotspot - so I know I have it, the option just won’t allow me to turn it on.
