Hi aaroncallawege1, we are here to help get your mobile data working!
If you haven't already, turn off your phone and turn it back on after 20 seconds. This will help reset your device. You may also need to check your SIM Card, ensure that it fits correctly in your device.
Other tips to help you troubleshoot your mobile data are:
If this does not help, let us know if you met the minimum payment of $25 and if you picked up a rate plan for your AT&T Prepaid service, as these are some of the requirements for AT&T Prepaid activation.

I just switched to ATT prepaid and have this same issue. Less than 0.1 mbps upload and download speeds. This is unacceptable and making me regret leaving cricket where the network just worked..
