ZTE Velocity (MF923)
Dear all,
I was told by my SIM card provider that a SIM card could have a slow connection.... My device is ZTE Velocity (MF923)
Has something changed here, in contrast to 2019. We did not have the impression that there was a slow connection here then....
According to the AT&T homepage, the device can still be used after 3G is discontinued in February 2022.
I don't know what to do at the moment - buy the SIM card, or a new, more up-to-date device?
Here is the link to the SIM-Card I would like to buy - see also attachment.
https://www.travsim.de/sim-karte-fuer-die-usa-at-t-netz.html
Here is the pdf that shows, that my device still can be used.
see page 9 bottom right

Or would you recommend ordering the SIM card directly in the US - and if so, where?
Thanks for your help and best regards.
Ralf from Germany.

Hello Sean,
many, many thanks for your feedback.
I don't currently use a device at all, but I would like to check in advance for my November 2022 vacation in the US.
And I was told that there might be problems with the connection speed if I use the SIM card from the provider in the link (https://www.travsim.de/sim-karte-fuer-die-usa-at-t-netz.html).
I was last in the US with my ZTE Velocity MF923 in 2019, I had an AT&T prepaid card then. There the speed was perfectly fine.
Maybe the data of the card I used at the time will help:
SKU: 6453A
UPC: 6 07376 35564 4
ICCID: 89014 10327 1335266050
the reason for my question is, that I would like to find out which card is best to use for my ZTE Velocity MF923, as I would like to use this WIFI Router again.
Many, many thanks for your support.
Ralf

Hello Rhoda,
Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately, I have another question about the links you sent me.
I see everywhere here that this is only available for purchase in AT&T stores in the USA, but since I live in Germany, I can't access this offer.
Also, because I live in Germany, it is problematic for me to sign up for a monthly plan.
A direct question:
Is there any way to buy a prepaid card from here in Germany online that I can use then in den USA?
Or:
Is it possible to use my old SIM card, which I had used back in 2019 in the US,
to activate again?
My data of the card:
SKU: 6453A
UPC: 6 07376 35564 4
ICCID: 89014 10327 1335266050
My IMEI from the ZTE Velocity MF923 is: 8691420224291
Thank you again for your support.
Regards,
Ralf
