What happened to the prepaid 90-day cellular data plans?
I have an iPad with cellular and use prepaid 90 day data plans from AT&T, renewing as needed. My cellular service suddenly stopped working, and I got an email from AT&T saying that my cellular data account was cancelled. The only solution seems to be reactivating my iPad, but the AT&T automated system only offers monthly subscription options. What happened to the 90-day plans?
There is no option to discuss this problem with a human support person, and AT&T appears to have abandoned all customer service. I'd love a recommendation for other carriers that still offer human support or short-term pre-paid data plans.

Those plans were terminated without grandfathering. The only thing that is available is prepaid plans by the month. If that doesn't suit your need, your iPad is unlocked and you can use it with a different service provider

Thank you for the info. It would have been nice of AT&T to make that clear in an email. I was unable to find any prepaid plans for one month either - unless you mean the monthly subscription plans? So I will look for another carrier.

We are here to help with your monthly data plan concerns, @abandonedbyA_T_T.
Thank you @formerlyknownas for the response.
As of April 13, 2022, DataConnect Pass (session-based) plans are no longer available for new accounts. Instead, you can choose an AT&T PREPAID data plan for tablet, hotspot, RV, or other connected data device.
We understand how important it is to be able to have a monthly data plan for your iPad. We are currently offering Monthly Prepaid Data Only Plans.
We hope this information helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
